My Favorite Time of the Year!!

Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! Its like im a 5 year old little kid all over again. My Mom always does the most amazing job at making everything so magical. This year was no different. I love coming home and seeing this...
Notice how it looks like summer outside..blah..
I love how everything looks so amazing!

My favorite room to be in..

Despite the fact that I worked some crazy, mad hours at the salon I was still able to spend some quality time with my family..

Us at the Oakland Temple (minus a few)

Sharing the Christmas Love

My mom took me and my sisters to see The Nutcraker in San Francisco. It was an amazing show and such a fun girls night. Thanks MOM!

I always feel so lucky to be able to spend the holidays with my family. I love the traditions, the decor, the food and opportunity to give!

MIA

I was completly MIA the whole last part of 2008... BUT, now that the holidays are over and life has calmed down...I am back. I am so excited for 2009. I have made some lofty goals...and have every intention of completing them!! Look out 2009!!

So Blessed....So, So Thankful

ALL OF THE SUDDEN...it was November. I swear last time I checked the calendar it was March. Where did the summer go? I am pretty sure, unlike most people, I am actually happy to see the summer end. Peace out summer...HELLO Fall!! I LOVE fall and winter! SO..with Thanksgiving being a couple weeks away I have found my thoughts turning to that of gratitude. I am so blessed.
Here are a few things I am so ridiculously grateful for....
My Family Cancun. Yes, I am in a sling. Yes, my family got to go snorkeling...and No. I did not go. I did however get to sit on the boat, get a fabulous one armed suntan and read my vampire book :).
(Yes, I have hot brothers. No, the small guy in front is not my brother)

Brooke's Graduation

My JOB
I feel so lucky to have a job I LOVE. It takes me back and forth from California to Utah..keeping me busy! I look forward to going to work and miss it when I am not doing it.

You know how some people are beach people and some people are mountain people? Well..I am a mountain person. There is not a day that goes by where I do not marvel at the scenery around me . I feel so grateful to be surrounded by such beauty. The above picture is where I spend some of my free time.
LOVE IT.

The list goes on and on....my faith, a vehicle to get me from A to B, AMAZING friends, Starbucks, peanut butter, pumpkin pancakes, running, sunrises, sunsets....

But lately I have been focused on this blessing....
Eternal Families.

This holiday season will be spent without two very important people in my life. My Grandpa Zollinger and my Aunt Amy.
In January we lost my Grandpa Z and in March we lost my Aunt Amy. The above picture is Amy's kids (minus Shelby). It will be bitter sweet. It comforts me to know they are in a better place, but my heart breaks for these children as they live life without their mother. How grateful I am to know that we will be reunited with the ones we have lost. That Families ARE Forever.
I love and miss you Grandpa and Amy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
May you look around and see how truly blessed your life really is.

Proud to Be a Mormon

In the wake of all of the Prop. 8 backlash regarding the Mormons I have one thing to say....

You can protest all you want,..
You can try take away our tax-exampt status...
You can egg our homes...
You can key our cars..
You can boycott this great state of Utah...
You can make a scene at our temples....
BUT one thing will always remain the same...

WE WILL NOT CHANGE WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.
We will always stand up for what is we know to be right.
As I have watched those in California, as well as those in Utah, spending their every free minute
working for the Yes on 8 campain, I can't help but be

PROUD.

I am proud to be a MORMON.
